Church Profile

Colonial Heights Baptist Church (chbckingsport.org) was chartered in 1956 as a mission church of First Baptist Church, Kingsport, Tennessee. As the Colonial Heights area grew, CHBC moved from a small house to a larger facility, which now includes four connected buildings: a worship center, two education buildings, and a family life center with a gym and walking track.

We are a member church of the Southern Baptist Convention, Tennessee Baptist Convention, and Holston Association.

Our annual budget is $900,000 and the church is debt-free. Ten percent of our undesignated receipts go to the Cooperative program. Along with a variety of mission projects, many of which are local, our church gives generously to the SBC’s Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon offerings, which support U.S. and international missionaries.
